The Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) is excited to announce its highly anticipated annual fundraiser, the Soirée en Blanc & Noir, on November 8th, 2024, at Barrel 118. This year’s theme, Puttin’ on the Glitz, sets the stage for an unforgettable night of elegance, celebration, and philanthropy, all in support of the vital OPAS Arts Education programs.
The Soirée en Blanc & Noir is more than just a glamorous evening; it is the cornerstone fundraising event that sustains the organization’s education initiatives throughout the year. The funds raised directly support programs that offer transformative arts experiences to local students. These initiatives include live theater programs, college performing arts scholarships, summer camp scholarships, guest artist masterclasses, The OPAS Community Youth Chorus, and The OPAS Lesson Bank. The transformative OPAS Lesson Bank program pairs deserving students with world-class instructors for one-on-one lessons. By attending and contributing to this special night, guests are investing in the future of performing arts education for young people in our community.
This year’s event aims to deliver an evening of sophistication and sparkle. Guests will be treated to elegant décor and a plated dinner with four wine options, an open bar, an extraordinary dessert station, and some rousing post-dinner dancing! Every detail of the Soirée is designed to create a memorable and fun atmosphere that celebrates the arts while inspiring generosity.
The night will also feature a live and silent auction, offering guests the chance to bid on exclusive items and experiences. In addition to “fun-raising”, some musical highlights will be showcased throughout the evening, celebrating the very art forms that OPAS works to cultivate in our community.
The OPAS commitment to arts education runs deep. The funds raised ensure that OPAS can continue to offer these vital programs, making the performing arts accessible to students from all walks of life. By attending the OPAS Soirée en Blanc & Noir, you’re not only indulging in an extraordinary night—you’re making an impact on local students.
Mark your calendars for November 8th, 2024, and prepare to be part of one of the most meaningful evenings of the year. Whether you come as a donor, sponsor, or an attendee, this event is your opportunity to support the arts, invest in education, and celebrate with like-minded people who believe in the power of the performing arts to transform lives.
